Update and a Message from the CKA

Hello everyone,

I sincerely hope everyone is safe and doing well. The Colorado Karate Association board members and supporters are thinking of you and your families during these challenging times. Again, we hope all is well. We also want to provide an update as to what has taken place and what we hope will take place for the remainder of the 2020 tournament season.

As you know, the 2020 CKA Opener was postponed; but now we are looking at canceling it altogether. However, those who pre-registered for the CKA Opener will receive credit for the CKA Finale, which will now be the Rocky Mountain Regional Tournament, currently scheduled to take place on September 5, 2020.

Two other tournaments have been canceled: Colorado Classic and Rage. The Fistival Karate Tournament has been rescheduled for October 3, 2020. The Summer Jam Tournament is still scheduled for August 1, 2020. That leaves three tournaments for the 2020 season for you to look forward to.

The Coronavirus has had a major impact on all our lives and for some of us, the experience has been life changing. You are in my thoughts and my prayers. I look forward to the time we can return to something close to what we have considered as the “norm.”

In the meantime, let’s keep the faith, keep training, support each other, and look forward to when we can gather again as martial artists and competitors.

Please contact me, or any CKA Board member, if there is anything we can help you with or just to talk.

Take Care – God bless

Jerry Davis
